Back at the start of 2018, a leak claimed to give us an early look at several of Motorola’s 2018 devices. Now one of those phones has leaked again, but this time we’re getting a much better look at it.
The Moto Z3 Play is the subject of the latest image leak from Evan Blass. The renders show the Moto Z3 Play with considerably slimmer bezels than last year’s Moto Z2 Play. Around back we can see the pins that enable the Moto Z phones to use Moto Mods as well as what may be a dual rear camera setup.

Other notable features of this Moto Z3 Play include a pill-shaped thing on the side that could be a fingerprint reader and a USB-C port on the bottom of the phone. One thing that doesn’t appear to be included is a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Most of the Moto Z3 Play’s specs are still unknown, but the aforementioned leak from earlier in 2018 did say that the Z3 Play will have a 6-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Considering that the Moto Z2 Play and Moto Z Play were both mid-range handsets, it’s possible that the Moto Z3 Play will be mid-range as well.
So far, the Moto Z3 Play looks like a nice upgrade over its predecessor, offering considerably smaller bezels and perhaps a dual rear camera setup, too. The Moto Z2 Play was announced at the start of June last year, so it’s possible that we’ll get our official introduction to the Moto Z3 Play soon. Stay tuned.
